Applying for a Grant
The application process at The Frist Foundation typically begins with a phone conversation. The foundation staff is happy to discuss your needs and the advisability of submitting an application, based on The Frist Foundation's guidelines, your situation, and where we are in the budget cycle.

General grants are given throughout the year. While there are no deadlines on general grant applications, larger grants are typically approved at board meetings taking place in January, April, July and October. Depending on the timing of your submission, it could take as long as three months for grant approval. These grants can range from $1,000 to $250,000, with a typical grant ranging from $3,000 to $20,000.

The Frist Foundation Awards of Achievement are distributed each fall following an evaluation process administered by the Center for Nonprofit Management. Recipients of the 2010 awards will be announced Sept. 21 at CNM's annual Salute to Excellence.
